The Commission is holding its first meeting in New Orleans on July 12 and 13. The purpose of the meeting is to hear directly from the people of the Gulf who have been so deeply and immediately affected by this disaster. In addition to panel discussions, both days will feature an extended opportunity for citizens to present their stories and comments directly to the Commission. If you can’t make it to the hearings, we still want to hear from you. In the selections below, you can choose to tell us about the impacts on your communities, livelihoods, and natural resources, your views of the response so far, or your thoughts about any other aspect of this tragedy.
